Join Sally Carley and Kathleen Dowd in this juicy, nurturing, and deeply restorative workshop. In our time together we will warm up the body through a slow gentle flow sequence, then work through a series of long-held yin poses and contemplative questions designed to take us ever deeper into an embodied sense of gratitude. The yoga asana portion of the workshop will be followed by a guided gratitude meditation that includes chanting and supportive imagery to further cultivate a spirit of gratitude and connection.

There will be opportunities for journaling as we wind our way into ever deeper sensations of release, contentment, and peace. You will be guided through a journey of self-study (Svadhyaya) through gentle yoga, meditation, and writing. The workshop will conclude with a long Savasana with aromatherapy and skillful adjustments by two teachers dedicated to your wellbeing.

About Sally –
Sally’s numerous previous careers were all important stepping stones on her path to yoga, which is currently her full-time occupation. Her core belief is that the state of yoga should be available to all. This drives and inspires Sally to teach, especially to those who think they can’t do yoga, and to work with people on an individual basis using principles of Integrated Movement Therapy, a yoga- and clinically-based therapy that teaches that we are already perfect and whole.

About Kathleen – Kathleen strives to show how yoga is accessible to everyone at any stage of life. She believes the breath can serve as gateway to the body and is a key component of a grounded yoga practice. Using the breath as a key tool for healing, she incorporates elements of pranyama in all of her classes, as well as concentration and meditation techniques. She considers everyone to be both a student and a teacher; her classes are fun, supportive, and welcoming for students of all levels. She is also a certified Yoga Therapist.
